KingsKnightTwitch 128

A viable deck for the Standard and Advanced difficulties that uses only cards that are available at the beginning of the game.

I have used this deck to get though most of the 2nd quest, thank you.

Glad that you've been enjoying it. Feel free to upgrade it as you get better cards. This deck has been empirically tested and even managed to clear Encounter 3 on Advanced difficulty.

@KingsKnightTwitchHope I'm not bothering you too much by mentioning you, but do you have any recommendations for upgrades? I had some guesses but I wasn't sure. I figured Round Shield > Ranger Spear, and I'm guessing Ithilien Lookout and Erebor Hammersmith can be swapped out, but I'm not sure for what.

In terms of upgrades you can swap out Arwen for Rossiel and build Silvan Semitribal (https://digital.ringsdb.com/deck/view/1025) which is a deck that still uses Ranged attacks albeit in a different way.

If you want to keep the same heroes, then cards that you should still get include Resourcefulness (Faramir's hero award), A Good Deed (Legolas' hero award), Against the Shadow (Campaign 3 reward), Forest Snare, replace Mithrandir's Advice with Heed the Dream, replace the Self-Preservations with Daughter of the Nimrodel, probably replace Man of Dale with Silvan Sharpshooter (it's a lot stronger when you have Rossiel instead of Arwen).

Ranger Spear is okay but isn't that big of an improvement over Round Shield + Warrior Sword. It might make sense to include both Round Shield and Ranger Spear since Block is very important.
