Noldor Combo - Galadriel Variation | 3 | 1 | 1 | 1.0 |
KingsKnightTwitch 128
A deck that uses primarily Noldor allies and heroes as well as some powerful combos.
The combo comes in multiple phases, with many smaller pieces combining into a big supercombo. These pieces are:
Imladris Minstrel + Orc Disguise
Imladris Minstrel + Orc Disguise
The idea is to get two permanent sources of healing on the board and protect them so that they can't be attacked or sniped away by Ranged units. Once you place the Orc Disguise, never attack, charge the fate meter, or do anything with the minstrels! Always keep them stealthed!!
Mithril Shirt + Spear of the Citadel
We put these both on Glorfindel to ensure that he's always Guarding. Have your other units attack anything with more than 3 health or wait for those enemies to attack before acting with Glorfindel. You can also put these on Gandalf. The purpose of the Mithril Shirt is to protect against big hits (Sauron usually attacks with his strongest units first).
Sterner than Steel
Sterner than Steel
You generally want to play this card when at least both Imladris Minstrels are on the board. This will extend their healing abilities and also extend the ability of your Spears of the Citadel wielders.
The end result? You end up with a Glorfindel who can kill multiple weak (< 4HP) enemies per round while regenerating any damage dealt to him thanks to buffed Imladris Minstrels that are in permanent Stealth. Good game, Sauron!
The roles of each hero are as follows:
- Glorfindel: Stall the threat meter so you that have more time to set up your combo.
- Faramir: Kill enemies in order to draw through your deck faster.
- Elrond: Do willpower-related tasks and help your units survive through healing whenever you cast events.
A rundown of the cards and why they are included is as follows:
- Imladris Minstrel, Orc Disguise, Spear of the Citadel, Mithril Shirt & Sterner than Steel: Combo pieces
- Noldor Champion, Gandalf, and Narya: Ally support for your other board slots
- Forest Snare, Back to the Dark, Pity Stayed His Hand: Events for helping control the board. The snare and pity cards can protect your minstrels from nasty revenge effects (especially ones that defeat allies)
- Heed the Dream & Mithrandir's Advice: Help draw through your deck faster.
- Resourcefulness: Some extra resources since the deck's curve is fairly high.
- Star Brooch & Unexpected Courage: The Stalwart package. You'll see these attachments in a lot of Spirit decks.

Dec 18, 2020If you like this deck, then you may be interested in the variation that uses Galadriel instead of Elrond. No other card needs to be changed in this case though you may need to make use of the Looming Threat for combo setup. You can view the Galadriel variation here: digital.ringsdb.com |
