This deck is perfect for expert coop whatever the quest. Of course the quality of your partner is very important in some quest. Especially in the C3Q4, in my opinion its the worst quest for a solo deck due to the Hillman Ambusher. For sure, you can play this deck in standard and advanced. In first, try to put Star brooch and Dwarven axe on Gimli as soon as possible and then it remains to put Raiment of war. So you have a solid Gimli with 6 of attack. At the end, the perfect combo for a boss is synergy between Elrond and Gala. Use Nenya power on Elrond and play Fair and Perilous on him. Also if you put a brooch on him, it will be even better. You can reach up to 18 attack. No matter which boss you meet, they'll be dead in few times.

Looks pretty solid for a no ally setup.

I like Gimli workhorse focus at 6 attack especially.

Some potential revisions I would consider for solo play specifically:

Use Idraen instead of Gimli, capping out at 4 attack instead of 6. This is potent enough to single shot most enemies. And Idraen will get more turns than Gimli from her ability, adding up to more potential damage than him per round.

Use Enduring Valour with Idraen. This can give her easily 4 attacks (5 if she carries over a guard from prev round) instead of just 2 with Gimli.

I would also carry the Special Hope in a Dark Place to affix to Elrond for heals on turns when Sauron has 4 or more enemies out at the end of the round.

I would have double brooch for Galadriel so she can retain it even if grasping hands takes one. That way she can contribute 4 will each turn along with her card draw and -1 threat.

Additions/changes I might recommend:

  • Idraen for Gimli
  • Enduring Valor x2 for Idraen
  • Star brooch x 2 for Galadriel
  • Hope in a Dark Place x 2 for Elrond

And obviously keep 2 raiments and 2 weaps for Idraen as well.

Thoughts?

After thinking about this deck even more I would also swap in the following:

  • Spear of the Citadel (Elrond)

And move dagger of westerness to Galdriel (with brooch) so she can get your Noldor Fair and Perilous double boss kill attacks.

Elrond with fair and perilous can jump in for Idraen on a stacked enemy team where he can be counter-hitting for 7 dmg potentially with 5 Guards from willpower being boosted.

Idraen and Endurance of Valor combo is one of the most underrated combos in the game! We must not forget that this combo also works very well with the veteran sword-elf if we are talking about the characters in the tactical sphere. Gimbli can have 3 attack rapidly in a game without attachment. 5 with axe. So maybe in 3 or 4 round with 1$ you have 5 of attack. For have almost the samething with Idraen you have to put Raiment and an other weapon. So it can be long. But your idea is very good especially with endurance of valor on her. Concerning removing nenya and putting brooch on Gala remains a good idea if the quest does not include a boss. On the other hand, like for example C2Q2 the boss has 24 health with block. Fair and Elrond combo didn't really work. As for the spear on Elrond, in standard and advanced mode that would be good. But I would have difficulty seeing Elrond take multiple attacks in a row with the spear. Maybe with Raiment on him ? I like keep open slot for event no need weapon on Gala and Elrond according to my point of view

I always have difficulty putting hope in the darkness when I play in coop because I block the possibility of having a brooch or unexpected and usually the partener always has a heal engine
