Once you've figured out the game, completing the campaign is easy, trivial even. Almost any deck can take you through with ease, and most can get you over the 250 point threshold most of the time. But where's the fun in that?

I sat down to design a deck that would have trouble simply completing each quest, let alone getting a high score. The only absolutely critical element I can think of for completing a quest is ; quests 3 and 5 in particular have some difficult objectives and hazards that must be quested against in order to advance. So I designed a deck with intentionally very low . Here is the result.

Without further ado, I present to the community a unique challenge: The "Can't Do" Team of Dwalin, Legolas, and Gimli. This deck has no willpower beyond your three heroes and two measly Zigil Miners. (Well, maybe you'll get lucky with Sneak Attack, too). Moreover, your only "healing" are 2x Raiment of War and your only threat "reduction" are 2x Favor of the Valar. You have no card draw. The only thing that should be a piece of cake is combat -- but will that be enough?

Post in the comments how you fared against the Campaign with this deck. Bonus points to anyone who can manage the whole campaign on Hard Mode!

This deck is a right pain! But an awesome challenge. Managed to complete each quest on difficult.

Just a thought... would you consider swapping out the two Galadhon Archer's for 2x Common Cause? I found that Ever Vigilant was quite an MVP and having more ways to ready a character (Dwalin with 2WP for example) seems like a good addition.

Very true. If you wanted to go this route, I'd suggest subbing out the Gaining Strength for Common Cause in most cases. Especially on hard mode, where that card is a bit of a dud. Could also sub out the Zigil Miners, to make it especially brutal!

Just spotted this gem! Masochistic as it sounds, I can't wait to give it a try. Love the concept and bonus points for putting Favor of the Valar in a deck!
